Training

We have an enthusiastic approach to medicine, education and training. We have a friendly and informal atmosphere with good working relationships within our Primary Health Care team.

The Broadway Surgery Site is situated within the popular residential area of Fulwood and within walking distance of the Royal Preston Hospital and the Medical Education Centre. Our other surgery site at the Ingol Health Centre is close to the new development at Cottam and the Preston Sports Arena. Both sites are designated Training Practices

The Preston day release course is held at the Medical Education Centre.

Good Library facilities are available at the Royal Preston Hospital and Medical Education Centre. Library facilities are also available within our premises at Broadway surgery and Ingol Health Centre.

The practice is fully computerised and has advanced NHSnet and Internet access. There is ready access to electronic information on the Practice Computer (EMISweb) System. We maintain full electronic records with a high standard of information.

Both the hospitals and surgeries are conveniently situated for road and motorway access. Preston is also served well by Bus and Train.

The Trough of Bowland, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are within half an hour driving distance. A choice of good quality restaurants, leisure facilities and other recreational activities are available nearby. Preston has a lively Town centre that offers a selection of entertainments and hosts the University of Central Lancashire with its range of facilities.

The practice philosophy is to provide personal and caring general medical services. In addition to the traditional general medical services, the practice also maintains an important role within the wider community for providing other medical services.
